SOME GOOD NEWS
My mom just informed me that my brother will be admitted to a county hospital for long term care. I really think he will benefit from a long term stay because he still doesn't admit that he has schizophrenia. I believe he will start to put the pieces together and realize that the medicine allows him to think clearly. It's such a long road but he is strong and has a supportive family behind him.

  1. Congrats! My brother hasn't been told that he has it so he's in denial too. This will be wonderful for your brother.

  4. That is great news for your brother! I hope all goes well and he is able to learn more about the usefulness of medications once he has a chance to think more clearly. It was a long-term hospitalization that saved my life - literally. I would never have stayed on meds for six months if I didn't have to do so because I had not much choice about it. I didn't realize I had Schizophrenia until after that.
