You know how to install all those things- you are awesome!- you go girl!

I also believe gays and lesbians should have the right to marry.

Like many others with mental illness, I do not disclose this information to coworkers because I do not want to risk being discriminated against and losing my assignments because of potential "stress". I have been discriminated against in housing while trying to rent a room once, they asked what my source of income was (SSI) and why I got it, so I told the truth- I'll never disclose that information to people that offer essential needs again.

Again, very well written piece.

AshleyAshley Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03227478646550668474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308960137374747760.post-54041686970633353812009-03-28T18:29:00.000-07:002009-03-28T18:29:00.000-07:00Hi AC,Well, I read that in Cambodia during one of ...Hi AC,

Well, I read that in Cambodia during one of the regimes people were killed who wore glasses because it was thought people who wore glasses were intellectuals who didn't do any hard labor.

ChrisChrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00015540078001532501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308960137374747760.post-75523285167026421362009-03-27T14:16:00.000-07:002009-03-27T14:16:00.000-07:00Trust me, I have thought many times about becomin...Trust me, I have thought many times about becoming a vegetarian and maybe will someday. I'll admit that like most people, I try not to think about what animals are put through in order to get on our plates but we are raised to eat meat because of the protein, etc...I think I know more people who choose to become vegetarian due to their diets, not for the animals sake. At some point you have to look at the food chain. There are animals who tear another animal apart (while alive) and there is nothing we can do about it. I'm not trying to defend my position but explain that I try to do what I can and I figured cage free was the most moral thing one could do if they chose to eat meat. I will try to learn more about how cage free animals are handled and about veganism. However, I have read that it is not a healthy practice to rely on supplements for nutrients we would otherwise find in animal products. But the thing that scares me most is that the majority of people do not even care how the animal is treated at all.O B S E S S I V I S I O Nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18343653860296384235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308960137374747760.post-90699579982315677822009-03-27T11:11:00.000-07:002009-03-27T11:11:00.000-07:00I truly think that if your self described sense of...I truly think that if your self described sense of empathy was as intense as you state, you would arrive at the conclusion that to adopt a vegan lifestyle is a moral imperative.
In reality nonhuman animals suffer every bit as much in 'natural, free-range, cage-free' facilities as they do in traditional factory systems.
Can you tell the difference?

"Free-Range" Hen

• Debeaked with a hot bloody blade at one day old with no anesthetic.

• Force molted (intentionally starved to shock the body into another laying cycle).

• Violently packed into a semi and trucked hundreds of miles to an agonizing slaughter when considered “spent” (unable to keep laying eggs at a fast enough pace).

• Denied the opportunity to live a natural life in truly humane care.

• All of her brothers (roosters) are brutally killed as baby chicks simply because they can’t lay eggs.

Battery Cage Hen

• Debeaked with a hot bloody blade at one day old with no anesthetic.

• Force molted (intentionally starved to shock the body into another laying cycle).

• Violently packed into a semi and trucked hundreds of miles to an agonizing slaughter when considered “spent” (unable to keep laying eggs at a fast enough pace).

• Denied the opportunity to live a natural life in truly humane care.

• All of her brothers (roosters) are brutally killed as baby chicks simply because they can’t lay eggs.

http://www.peacefulprairie.org/letter.htmlMichael Prejeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09079775001746594757noreply@blogger.com
